The Kanawha County Commission has made attempts to provide all reasonable accommodations for any individual with a disability an equal opportunity to particiapt in all services provided by Kanawha County. All facilities are equipped with handicap accessible restrooms, elevators, entrances and handicap parking.
 



Handicap Entrance Locations
Kanawha Courthouse Handicap Entrances Outside: The handicap entrance to the Assessor's Office, County Clerk's Office, Record Room, and Sherrif's Tax Office side of the Kanawha County Courthouse can accessed at the cornor of Court Street and the Kanawha Blvd. There are push buttons open the doors.
The handicap entrances to the County Commission, Planning and Development Office, or Fiduciary and Probate Office can be accessed from the main parking lot for the Kanawha County Courthouse on Virginia Street and Goshorn Street. Press the call box button to access the parking lot, the entrance is on the left. Press the button on the call box to enter the Lobby.
Parking: Handicap parking is available at either the boulevard side of the parking lot or the County Commission side of the parking lot for the Kanawha County Courthouse. The parking lot can be accessed on Virginia Street and Goshorn Street.
Inside: There are elevators to all levels of the building, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.
 
Judicial Building Handicap EntranceOutside: The handicap entrance to the Judicial Building can accessed at the cornor of Virginia Street and Court Street. There are push buttons open the doors.
Parking: Handicap parking is available in the parking garage which can be accessed on Goshorn Street.
Inside: There are elevators to all levels of the building, handicap accessible doors to the Circuit Clerks Office, a ramp to Family Court and Masgistrate Court, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.
 
W. Kent Carper Public Safety Complex Handicap EntranceOutside: The handicap entrance to the W. Kent Carper Public Safety Complex can be access by a ramp leading the door on 301 Virginia Street East.
Parking: Handicap parking is available at the small parking lot at the cornor of Virginia Street and Goshorn Street between the Public Safety Complex and the Kanawha County Courthouse.
Inside: there are elevators to all levels of the building, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.
 
Voters Registration Handicap EntranceOutside: The handicap entrance to the Voters Registration Office can be accessed at the corner of Court Street and 415 Quarrier Street.
Parking: Handicap parking is available in the parking garage which can be accessed on Goshorn Street.
Inside: The friendly staff will assist with any accomodations the handicap individual may need. Also there are handicap accessible restrooms available.
